What's on the page

How to use it

  1. Fill in the pet and vet details once; they are useful for pet sitters and in an emergency.
  2. Cross out tasks that don't apply to your pet and add your own in the blank rows.
  3. Write who is responsible for each task, and have them initial the box when it is done, so nobody double-feeds.
  4. Fill in the last and next dates for vaccinations and treatments from your vet records.
  5. Stick it on the fridge or near the food bowl, and leave it out for a pet sitter when you travel.

Who it's for

Families teaching kids to help with a dog, cat or small pet, households where several people share feeding, and pet sitters or neighbours looking after an animal while you are away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work for cats, rabbits or fish?

Yes. The tasks are general (feeding, water, cleaning, grooming, medication), and there are blank rows to add anything specific to your pet.

Can I leave it for a pet sitter?

That is a good use for it. The top section has the food, feeding times, medications and both vet numbers, and the grid lets the sitter show what was done each day.

Is this pet care schedule template really free?

Yes, completely free. No signup, no email, no catch. Just download the PDF and use it.
